This guitar is made from premium dark Indian Rosewood with a Port Orford Cedar sound board (Cypress family - bold, robust and responsive, with a beautiful even grain). The neck is made from Mahogany with a Cocobolo laminated center strip and laminated with a Figured Indian Rosewood head plate. Bindings are Cocobolo with mitered bold multi-line purflings. In addition there is a distinctive shamrock sound port which allows the guitarist to hear their playing more clearly in ensemble environments. There is also a raised Bocote arm rest which matches the almond shaped heel cap. This arm rest results in a very comfortable playing experience while isolating the soundboard from the player's arm. The rich sound qualities and sustain of this instrument would make it ideal as a session or ensemble guitar. The excellent pricing on this instrument also makes it a great guitar for a promising student who wants to upgrade to a guitar that will serve them for many years to come. |
